MARRIED!!

Hello All! Well, I'm officially married and living in Norfolk, VA! The wedding was beautiful and I'm so happy as a newlywed. However, the move was bittersweet. It was tough to leave behind my family and friends in Kentucky, but I'm so excited to embark on Jason and my journey together as husband and wife. If you haven't seen the wedding photos yet, you can check out facebook and as soon as I get some from our wonderful photo, Chad, I'll post those as well! Thank you all for all of your love and support throughout the years and at the wedding. We love you all!

First Taste of Fall

So, as most of you know, my absolute FAVORITE time of year is fall! I love pumpkins, the crispness in the air, wonderful scented candles and of course the pumpkin patch, where yours truly was engaged! And it seems as though the season is upon us! But I got my first taste (literally) of fall today when I drove up to Starbucks. As an unsuspecting patron, I assumed I would be ordering my usual grande, nonfat, cinnamon dolce latte. But as I pulled into the drive-thru, what do I see other than orange balloons and PUMPKINS adorning the speaker box! A large sign reading "Starbucks original Pumpkin Spice Latte is Back" was also posted. So when the lovely starbucks lady asked if I would like to try a Pumpkin Spice Latte, naturally my answer was "why yes of course!" As I sipped my latte on the way home (the foam is orange and wonderful this year), with windows rolled down to feel the crisp 66 degree weather, I couldn't help but smile! Fall is officially here: time for leaves, candles, pumpkins of course, and wonderful afternoons spent with my favorite drink: pumpkin spice! Get yourself one and indulge outside with a book and maybe a pet pumpkin! :)

The City of Brotherly Love

So this past weekend, I was in Philadelphia for an interview for PA School at the Drexel Hahnemann campus. And while I wasn't busy interviewing and taking tours of the school, you better believe I crammed everything I could into my short time in Phily! I basically ate my way through the city, starting at Geno's famous steaks--they were awesome!

I also managed to stop at an old favorite, the Old Originial Bookbinder's restaurant. My family enjoyed this place a long time ago during a vacation and my mom and I decided it time to go back--and it was well worth it! Thanks to Becky for picking up the tab.

Also, more interestingly, I was able to see the Liberty Bell again, as well as Independence Hall, Elfreth's Alley (the oldest street in Phily), Old City, and of course Center City and downtown. During my visit, I met many different individuals, but all in all I would agree that this is the City of Brotherly Love! Can't wait to hear about my interview!

SNOW DAY!!!!

So we are off school today (again!) and I can't get out to go to work, so I'm pleasantly stuck here with my ladies of 324. What are the plans, you ask? Well I think we are going to cozy up on the couches with some hot cocoa and watch movies and do nothing all day! In the spirit of movie watching, here is my list of movies I've seen and/or want to see very soon!

Twilight (seen....seen again...and again...you get the idea)

Bride Wars (seen--typical romantic comedy)

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button: I've been wanting to see this since it came out, but I've heard mixed reviews...any thoughts?

Slumdog Millionaire: Heard this movie is AWESOME--can't wait to see it!

Revolutionary Road: Anything with Kate and Leo has to be good right?

Do I have any movie buddies???? : )

My First Post!

So we are off school today, and I have officially started my blog! Hopefully I will be able to come up with some interesting stuff to talk about! : ) Today we are relaxing, maybe some sledding, and definitely some much needed time off from school. It definitely took over 20 minutes to get all the ice off my car today in order to get my coffee. Below is what I felt like after! Enjoy the snowy weather!
